but im representing bseries on my part, your representing your h series. did i take a h series head and put it on my car no. obivously i put a vtec head on my car because b20bs dont have good hp. Now h22 guys have spend **** loads of money just to use a tranny from b series because h series trannys are so garbage. B20<H22.

If someone could tell me how to post a video ill post a kayuga video of my stock b20v running a 13.8 vs a tsi eclipse.

guys with H22 like to use B16 trannies only because it's shorter gearing which is better for quarter mile........not that H trannies are garbage.......anybody? correct me if i'm wrong.

yes it's true that b16 trannies are short geared...specs are as followed:

S4C/Y21 USDM B16A2, B16A3; JDM SiR2, JDM SiR2 w/LSD
1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th R FD
3.230 2.105 1.458 1.107 0.848 3.000 4.400

the h22a4 gear ratios:
1st - 3.285
2nd - 1.956
3rd - 1.344
4th - 1.304
5th - 0.812
FD - 4.266

the accord type-r which was equipped with h22a motor have pretty nice tranny specs:
1st - 3.285
2nd - 2.090
3rd - 1.481
4th - 1.071
5th - 0.870
Reverse - 3.000
Final - 4.266

ahh i think people do h2b kit not just for the reason of getting a faster quarter mile...they do h2b due to the fact that it helps you from clearance problems, changing axles over and over(too much torq),weight, you get to use b series mounts(except driver side),leak from tranny seal, and its the real deal hydrid!!!!! b series tranny into a h series wow!!!!!!

i used to think b20/ls vtec arent all that but from experience i respect them!!!! but they also respect deuce deuce!!! my friend has a b20vtec all motor!!! bottom block is not touch, with a chip ecu,i/h/e, and blox head!!!! i ran him and he beat by a fender(from the dig) different story from a 20kh roll!!! he only got me by a bumper!!! now my motor is stock with i/h/e and thats it!!! what im trying to say is that if you have same mods on both engines its up to the driver!!!! both world is all good... no need to start a race war about it!!!!
