If the H&R springs are cheaper and better ride quality, I'll definitely go for them instead of the Eibachs.
never said better ride quality... sportier yes, and as a result harder on the shocks.

I found Progress and Suspension Techniques springs to work very well with stock shocks. I had stock shocks for 3 years on lowering springs, and they STILL feel like new, even though I swapped out for a full body coilover.

autoX? then go with some height dampening adjustable coilovers

otherwise id go with a nice spring/shock combo, or some height adjustable coilovers

IMO dont get coilover sleeves...

I've sold tonnes of H&R for use with stock shocks with no problems. That's why I always recommend H&R. Progress and ST are good choices as well. I'm not crazy about Eibach, but some people love them.

I bought my first set of springs for stock shocks in 1998... ST brand new for $119 USD I liked them but at the time I didn't know much better.

I have H&R coil-overs in my civic... I like the gc/koni mix more that I have in my accord. I also got a ride in a Tein Flex eg hatch with the edfc... now that thing was niiiiice.

Bruno, it also depends on what model spring you purchase, not all eibachs or h&r's ride at the same level which is why they have a large variety of springs with different rates on each springs by all companies. For eg, the sportline model springs made by eibach rides a lot smoother than a set of road race springs made by the same company but guess which spring feels glued to the ground going 120 on a bend, yes it's the road race kits while the sportlines feel like it can't take it. I had both sets on my car and I noticed the above feeling when riding. For everyday driving I would grab sportlines.

BTW The suspension techniques springs are great springs, my friend just installed them in his hatch with a set of KYB shocks and this car glues to the ground on large bumps, it takes every little bump and hole like the car is riding on stock struts/springs. Great springs and struts

MBSi, I was talking about the Eibach Pro Kit, and the H&R Sport kit... as for the ST springs, I had a long time ago, they were the ultra low ones...2.5" drop. What can I say, I was all riced out. The great thing about those was they were very soft progressive springs, so they had excellent cushioning for every day driving. But what I have now IMO is the ultimate street setup... I no longer cringe when I see massive holes in the road... nor do I worry about ever bottoming out. H&R Competition Coilovers
