The best motor??

if you even THINK about k-series i hope you read up on it well because its very complicated and time consuming install.
I was going to do one until i realized what it would cost in the end.
avid axles $600+
mounts $600+
harness $500+ or about 10 hours of re-wiring
plus at least like $4000 if you want a type-s motor/tranny/ecu
You can get k20a3's from the SiR's for under 2G's but they aren't worth it to me.

LSD and LS are not even relating the same thing...
LSD is limited slip differential, fount in a lot of R-spec trannies and older b16s
LS is a trim model for integras.... and often refers to the motor, the b18b
hope that helps

to be honest... both have their advantages... people have done some pretty crazy things to mostly stock b and d series and put otu some great numbers...
d series:
cheap
readily available parts and engines
bolt in
easy/cheap turbo setups
MINI-ME
lighter
there are peopel putting down mid/low 13 second quarter miles with stock 88 HF (1.5 MPFI) motors turboed... properly tuned (no piggy backs or stupid FPRs or ****... no standalone either!)
b series
more expensive
more potential
non bolt in
slightly harder to find then d series
more torque (b18a/b)
larger displacement (up to 2.0L + if built)
rev redicllously high (b18c/b16a)
many aftermarket parts
heavier!
LS/vtec
if you really need guidance then PM me with exact plans you have with the vehicle... i've owned many EF's like yours and have lots of expererience.....
that said, im building a b series!
