The cheap *** rear camber adjustment is basically getting a longer bolt and some washers to adjust the camber.

I can't believe that Ingalls sells them for $15 US

Ohhh another el-crapo coilover thread... I want in on this

Don't blame the coilover, blame the installer, right PULOVR

There are two types of crusty coilovers... those with linear springs that are of unknown rates, and another with progressive (or even helper) springs of unknown rates.

The hardcore bounce is definitely due to linear rates too high. It prolly feel like a complete go-cart... except you gotta actually drive it on the street The other coilovers with progressive or more often helper springs.... they ride a little more civilized. Not good... but civilized.

Your shocks and springs are completely mismatched. I can't even begin to say the kind of crime you are committing. It's like if you gave the NFL a frizbee to play with, and the NBA a medicine ball. Basically that's what your shocks are doing right now... playing basketball with a medicine ball.

As for the dustboot not being cut like it's supposed to be... I think he'd hear the sound of 16 ga steel getting crushed under his car... he may be riding the bumpstops, but I hardly believe that by his description...since it's lowered 1.5 inches, and he says that even bumps he cant see - he feels. That's a classic description of really high rate springs.

Now... because these are cheap coilovers, maybe the F and R springs are unmarked, and they went on backwards.... that's a possibility, but it won't eliminate his shitty ride.

that could be it too...I wonder if he installed them properly...LOL. Or, unless, this shocks were blown to begin with, then he'd have these problems but honestly, my ride is pretty good compared to some regular coil springs out there...so, I really couldn't say....I'd have to see it and test drive it to give you a better understanding of what's going on. We can all spit out theories and ideas but, we REALLY don't know squat of what the specifics are...words can only describe to a certain point...I'd say, come out to a meet and ask some people what they think. You'd get a more accurate opinion that way.

Cheers,
Buddah.

Right Buddah... true enuf... but he says he FEELS bumps he cannot SEE... which is not a result of ill shocks, but rather a result of astonomic spring rates. Like the Satty I have new shocks coming for it cuz these are blown... and it rides on Eibach springs... and the ride is still smooth unless I hit like railroad tracks or a mini-hill and the car bounces around like mad. Mmm...can't wait for the new KYBs to come in.

Well, every problem on your car begins with this sentence:

You get what you pay for.

Honestly, some of the car accessory sellers in Pac Mall is considered a high end junk yard. You have learned you lesson so next time, when you want to mod your car, get some decent parts.

You are not dialing 1-800-COLLECT to save a buck or two. It is cars we are dealing with here.

no... you call the manufacturer, if they can't tell you, then you don't buy it. Simple as that...

Beat me to it.

Anyways, come out on wednesday so we can go for a ride in your car. Then we can feel first hand, what you are talking about.

My first offer still stands. Come on out and go for a ride in my friends car, or Buddah's as well.....you'll see what I mean.

Yes, if your willing to come all the way down here. Or.....you can wait until mid august.....some of us are going to WoodWard. You can drive it then.

Do we still have a place to stay at B? (at least 3-4 of us)

But they are "matched" to the spring rate. Different thing.

My bed can handle about 3-4 girls no problem... it's a forged titanium frame. You'll have your own room in the guest room cuz you have to be well rested for the woodward cruize.

Running GC's on mine, dumped with stock shocks. Can't complain about the ride though.
