i dont know if this has any relation to the bouncy speedometer, but if im WOT in 3rd gear, at about 6000-6500, approx, the car immediately bogs down, i upshift ( thinkning its the rev limiter) and it bogs down again at WOT

u shouldnt have to reset the ecu for the intake. the problem sounds pretty preculiar... hrm. it just bogs like...it doesnt have power anymore? or the revs simply dont climb anymore or what? please explain. i could be a back pressure build up due to a suuuuper clogged cat, it could also be a clogged fuel filter(which shouldnt be the case cos then i'd have probs throughout the mid-high rev range).

 

i'll try to give the most detailed explanation of what happens;

1st and 2nd gear, the car drives normally throughout the RPM band.

In 3rd gear sometimes at around 5800 or 6000 RPM the car just doesnt accelerate anymore, the nose goes down, as if i let of the gas completely, if i try to shift to 4th, and step on it, same thing, car hesitates!
