Changing shock & coil spring

How much should it cost to change the shock/coil spring on the rear side of a 1990 EF hatchback at a garage? My friend gave me his spare shock/coil all ready to be bolted on. Is $40 decent?
I would do it myself but i don't have a garage plus i just had surgery 2 days ago so i'm full of stitches! Thanks

40 is not bad in terms of shop prices.

it really only takes 20 mins if your doing it yourself unless the bolt is seized.

Well, i changed my shock and spring and i still have that annoying "toc toc" noise when driving over small bumps

I guess there must be some worn out bushings somewhere. Any ideas on what to do next?
