first thing i would do is swap in a d16z6 motor or a d16y8 and build a turbo kit for it thats the cheapest way to make REAL noticeable power.if u look for good deals and peice it together it would run u about $2500-4000.theres no point in building up the d15b7 u have in there now it will be a waste of money.

thanks for the reply...ya engine swap would be sweet...but i wish i could....and if i did ..id go much better than b16 in that range..anyways
i have been reading about ECU chips, i hope this aint a dumb question, but would i be able to do an upgrade for my engine, and notice the differecence, or are they only for engines with turbo

you don't need to change the fuel/ignition maps until you change the cams/raise the compression/add a turbo/supercharger.
If you want cheap power use n20. A dry zex kit is a good way of making decent power for cheap.

agree with spray is cheapest
but you would just have to bare with the slow-ness if your stock car.... but you'll be happy with the GAS mileage... since you said you're not hvaing too much $$ to spend around... stay happy with the fuel efficiency...
unless you the one that won't mind and won't complain you go broke coz of the $1.10L premium gas hahah

think about it though. How much power are you really going to gain from spending $1000 on I/H/E especially on a d15b7?
With a $1000 you could get a sick, direct port nitrous setup. Or a more than sufficient dry/wet kit with lots of money left over to fill that bottle up all summer long.

probably decent ones until it blew up. I wouldn't run more than a 75 wet shot on a stock internal d-series. My buddy toasted his built d16z6 on a 60 shot dry zex kit. Ripped like hell though for the half a year it lasted.
But isn't a 50 shot about 30-40 or so more whp?

Yes the questions is DUMB, but the answer is not tough.
What are using your car for, and how much you want to spend?
As a rule of thumb, weight is the enemy of speed. If you want to go fast for no money, start gutting your car.

no question is dumb so stop being a ***** but i agree that gutting your car increases your pickup for absolutely no cost whatsoever. if anything just save ur money for a while, theres no point in spending little bunches of cash here or there when you can save your money for a couple months and be able to afford a major upgrade to your car

weight reduction method:
1) remove power steering completely
2) remove a/c if its in it
3) take out the rear seats
4) take out spare tire
5) take out any audio systems, just keep speakers
you might sell some of those parts and get some $$$ too
save up 500 (plus from selling off those gutted parts)
1) swap in a d16z6 (just cost as much as you buy some amps/subs)
if you want more power (suppose by this summer you can come up with another grand)
1) intake
2) decent header
3) custom exhaust 2.25 or 2.5"
but i suggest this first (suspension upgrades)
1) shocks
2) lowering springs (for handling, not looks)
3) lighter rims (if budget allows)
next season (do whichever thing you didn't do this season I/H/E or suspension)
then if you want more next season
1) homemade turbo + (serious tuning)
2) upgrade clutch
3) better tires to grip and keep you nice to the road
4) upgrade brakes if necessary (depending on power)
you're damn fast!
