If there anything like the 5th and 6th gen its about 60-65 amp.

Take a look at your alternator marty, with a flashlight you should be able to see the amperage marking on it.

For our civics there so damn expensive. Not alot of aftermarket companies make High Output alt for our civics, because I belive our alt spin the opposite way than conventional domestics do, so only a few make these alternators (streetwires??) and when they do they go for around $600 or so.

Best bet is to get an accord alt. There like 120 amp or so and bolt right on, I wanted to do that too, just need a new bracket I think.

Also try getting your alternator rewound, alot cheaper and can boost the output alot.

whoa, whoa, whoa... hold yer horses!

Matt, you're correct for 5th and 6th gens.

Marty, your engine was a new design from honda and it spins in the conventional direction like 90% of other engines out there. Previous generations went opposite of what most cars do... This means you can use an alternator from pretty much any other car out there that will bolt on. You can modify the bracket to fit.

At least that's something to think about and look into, cuz I don't know fo-sho.
