Do the R1's use the Eibach ERS springs as well? I'd say that would be the biggest difference if they are not totally identical. The spring is what makes cars ride like crap on many of the coilover sleeves sold on the market.
Also, just because it looks identical doesn't necessarily it is identical. Remember, there are a lot of companies that just take one of the competitor's products and just do a straight copy of it on the CNC machine. However, materials may be different.
Just be careful when you're buying. Often, you get what you pay for.
