cranking/grinding noise? engine stalling? HELP?

past month and a bit my car has stalled randomly while slowing down to a stop... as in the revs hit like 800rpm and it dipped and then stalled... but this happened while rolling to a stop... and then the power just shuts off and i start it again (usually while rolling)... this only happened when i was driving a little hard...

yesterday it did it to me like twice... then on my way back from kitchener... i gave it a good run at like 2:30am (i know there is an anti street racing policy, but i was going 190km and hit my speed limiter a few times last night maxing out in 4th... i never even went to fifth... my speed limiter cuts in on 4th gear at around 6400rpm...)then after she aired out... hahaha, i drove like 120km/hr for like 15 more mins or something or something and got off at mavis and then i heard like a girinding/spinning noise... like a chain spinning... above like 3500rpm and the higher u go the more evident and faster the grinding is... from a dead stop in neutral u can rev it up and it makes the same noise...

this afternoon, car stalled at like 6 lights while slowing down... just made it home and everytime i slow down to a stop the revs dip below a bit and its bogs almost then they go up...

the noise is worse... HELP!!! any ideas? my dad was thinking timing belt or something... it might of never been changed... i don't have service records...

well, if the want to delete it then it defeats the purpose of this being a forum... if you honestly want me to tell you what happened then i have to write it... if you want me to not telll you (maybe not figure out the problem is) then i can leave it out, but then that elminates what could of caused the problem... It's like asking someone to solve a murder case without considering a motive (that's how innocent people go away)?

so, can anyone offer advice? Thanks.

i doubt its the timing belt cuz if it was your car wouldnt be running right now, maybe a bent valve or something.

sound is coming from the front end in the lower part... from the cabin in the drivers seat it sounds like its coming from behind the pedals in the engine bay... i stood outside and had my dad rev it up and it is coming from the engine... almost the mid section or the top... from the outside... when you rev it up to about 4000rpm it almost sounds liek something is hanging around or cranking and the faster you go the more it makes noise...

but at low rpms it doesn't make much noise, just sometimes...

and the car dies as i slow down to a stop here and there and you can see the rpms dipping below like 800 as you are stopping

thats pretty amazing... thanks for the video...

well, it seems like you may have hit it dead on, but the noise from my car isn't as bad it doesn't sound as loud yet... but the shop told me it would be getting louder as it went...

how long did u drive after it went?

Well I was going to say the rolling stop thing is probably just an ignitor, but seems like you have bigger issues then just the stalling

Atleast you were honest, but still if you murder someone and your honest about it you still go to jail

well thers only one problem here and this is how you fix it...

let the car run till the motor gets nice and hot... then stick your dick on the valve cover and shuve your nuts on to the timing belt...

problem solved.. no more stupid driving...190km in 4th gear... buddy you're idiot.... you wanna ****en get killed or kill someone... take that **** to the track... its because of people like you that guys like me get dirty looks from people and get pulled over by cops.... stop feeding that stereo type you ****en ****...

I concur...been in a car that spun a bearing...and guess what, it won't last long at all. The one I was in only lasted about 15 km more after that happened. I told the guy to tow it, but he drove til it died.
