D15 help needed

i want to build a 1.5 l motor and wondered which one has the most power and where to get ahold of one for cheap. vtec, no vtec whatever has most power from 1.5l if im not mistaken it is a jdm d15b with 130 hp...

and when i gety that motor how can i work on making it rev to 8k-10k rpm? want a rev machine here but can't afford b series
lighweight bottom end(pistons/rods/hi speed balanced crank), valve springs, cams would that do it?

i thnk it would be kool to have a pimp to sport a high power 1.5

Dream.

Get a bike if you want to rev to 10g's.

And before anyone starts to say......you can make if rev to that, remember what he said..."want a rev machine here but can't afford b series".

If he can't afford a B series, then he wouldn't have the money to make a d15 rev high the way he wants.

I'm just thinking, by the time you spend all that money buying a D15 and doing all the work to it, you could have spend the money to buy a B16. just my .02

i wouldn't be spraying a puny motor reving that high.... if you want to rev that high you basically have to redo everything.... like anything rotational or cam related needs to be way way way stronger... like stronger then honda even made the b16b which is i believe honda's highest reving stock motor.... it has a 9000rpm redline so it could probably rev to like 9300 before the fuel cut off

ok... no spray... how do i build it for higher rpm than i comes with?
jdm d15b that is.

lightweight pistons, lightweight rods, cams, retainers, titanium valve springs, larger valves, small dia. twin disk clutch(for weight),6 lbflywheel, Ghd'ed ecu w/ vtec function, adj. cam gears 310cc injectors 300lph fuel pump, cold air intake, 2 1/4 exhaust

anything else? i prolly can't do all of that all at the same time but it prolly will get done

you dont so much need light weight parts... but stronger and well balanced parts.... the internal harmonics at high rpm will destroy parts at high rpm cause the stress on rotational parts goes up exponentially with rpm....

you might have you heart set on doing this but it is just not practical... like do you want to spend like 10g's on a motor that will rev to 10000 and realize a b16a or b18c can still beat you stock cause you have no low end hp or torque??

even look at f1 motors... they are 3.0L v10 or v12's... they rev to 18 000 rpm+ and they do make 800-900hp but they are never below 15000 rpms.... even when they launch they are releasing the clutch at like 10 000 rpms....

on the street you will be unable to do that... ie dump clutch at say 7000.... if you want power and are cheap... dont worry i am too.... buy a sound motor or even use your current motor if it can handle it and boost it a bit.... if you like going to wreckers and are lucky you could probably get the entire thing done for under $1000 and have maybe 170 hp depending on which motor you start with

ok... well i guess that plan i down the drain...
umm... i can get a zc ut the best price around here is 1100 for a complete swap...w/o labour.
if there are any b18a cable trannies around here, cuz my car is cable(88 civic) i could go b18 non vtec
