if you are going to buy a motor

get the d15b if you want vtec sohc
it does not make 130 hp, it makes 130ps, which is metric version of horsepower or something like that, anyways, it coverts to like 127 hp

if you want dohc or whatever
get a b18 or b18b, avoid the b16, it has very little torque.

if your really set on stay single cam why not get a d16z6 and just put some bolt ons on it... new cam, header, exhust, intake and just have your fun now with it... and wait till you can afford to make a real high rpm motor from a b16 which already revs relatively close to what you want.... then you dont have as much work persay to do

I know what a d15b is!lol

Ive got one in mine mate

Since the pic its had red magnecors and silicone vacuum hosing fitted, but got dirtier!

Its a good engine, puts out 128hp, redlines at 7250rpm, and is a SOHC vtec. Shares the cover with the d16z, as i found out when i had to order 4 sets of leads trying to find the right ones.

Parts for this engine could be a nitemare if it was JDM only, which i think it was, also the ukdm d15b was a sohc non-vtec, bit confusing.

If you want a good engine, wait till you can afford the b16, all my friends have it, its alot better performance wise, and more parts are freely available. Just my 2 pence.
