d16z6 92-95 si vtec motor

any one no if some one put a d16z6 92-95 si vtec motor in a crx be for i was thinking of doing it and how did it work out

Yes you can put a D16Z6 in a crx. And it worked out well!

there are several ways to do it, and it works out well any way you do it.

you have Si?

you can just reuse your stock manifold and buy a VAFC to control the VTEC... or you can make your own VTEC controller.

Or you can get a OBD0-OBDI conversion harness and plug in a P28 ECU + a couple of wires.

i can get the motor for like $200 with tranny but it is missing clutch, starter and dist. the motor has 184000 km on it

clutch you wanna change anyways.... starter you can buy new from Canadian tire... dist you can get from the classifieds or from the junk yards. $200 is an okay deal.

compression test and leakdown tests to begin with... that's pretty much all you can do.

I'm gonna take a look at the same engine on Monday if you don't buy it by then. If you want I'll tell you what I think of it.

If you don't buy it I may. I have to replace my engine soon but I have time to wait.

uhh he said the motor isn't in the car.. bring a 17mm socket and ratchet and try to spin the motor around by the lower crank pully and see if it turns, if you're afraid it's blown, but chances are the motor is going to burn oil unless it was well maintained from the begining. but good luck
