I understand .... but my stock engine (for example) in 3rd gear at red line I'm doing 150km/h.... the next shift would be to 4th and by that time there isn't much room on the straightaways to need 5th.... only 1 track in ontario where 5th gear would be seen.... and thats Mosport Big track ... the stock engine tops out at 6800 (I think) while a B20 woudl top out around there and does have more torque so would get to the top quickier ... I still believe it's a viable choice... and if built with a b17 crank you can get it to rev to 8000 or 9 grand....(providing of course you build the top end for that)
