10 psi would be the max and would be for a short period of time. With the B20 ill want to sleeve it, with either the B20 or B18 I want to change the pistons and stuff to make the internals stronger but nothing crazy.

but why not just start out with a gsr motor or something thats already pretty beefy then just put on 7-8 psi and you'll be at your 240 whp fairly easy i'd think

cause a GSR is like $3000 atleast and i hve read that the B18B is better for boost than a GSR.

its all a myth, gsr is just as good to boost even though it has higher compression. Do a search on honda tech

as far as engines theres 2 b20's

one is a b20b and other b20z, thats the CDN version in JDM land theres only B20

B20B 1973 126@5400 133@4300 8.8:1 84 89 dohc no 2 1997-1998 CRV

B20Z 1973 146@6400 133@4500 9.6:1 84 89 dohc no 2 1998-2001 CRV

For the higher HP b20 JDM you need to make sure the engine is a 99+ or 98 not 100% sure

A built turbo motor costs about $8000+, and a good reliable turbo setup costs another $5000+/-

What do you guys think would be a better/more reliable base to start with, B18B or a B20B?

I have priced out the turbo and manifold I want and thats almost 2G's right there. Im starting to wonder if I should just get a turbo kit. The only other major things I need for a custom kit would be the BOV, Wastegate and ECU.

What would you guys do, get a full kit or piece together an entire setup? I am looking at getting maybe a full greddy or turbonetics kit. For those it will be about high 3's to high 4's depending on the kit.

My other option im looking at is a Precision or turbonetics turbo with a Revhard manifold (so I can keep my A/C). Then ill use probably a turbosmart BOV and Wastegate with a turbosmart boost controller. Hondata S200 ECU with boost upgrade and a nice intercooler.

What do you think seems better?

Can anyone give me general prices for all the pieces needed to do an auto to manual conversion. I want to pick up a B18B1 swap and do the conversion very soon and I dont want to go around and buy the pieces until I have a general idea of how much its gonna be.

Here is a list of the stuff so far that I know I will need, add anything that im missing. Also if you recommend getting certain things new or other things at a junkyard please let me know.

-Manual Tranny
-Manual ECU
-Shift Linkage (GSR)
-Intermediate shaft for manual tranny
-Pedal Assembly
-Clutch Reservoir
-Clutch Slave cylinder
-Clutch Master Cylinder
-Hydro Clutch Lines
-Enjo mounts
