etest: how bad are these numbers

went for e test today. failed.
got a 90 integra, with a b16, with hi flow cat. i just bought it.
heres the numbers.
@2500 rpm
HC PPM
Limit 200; reading 292

CO%
Limit 1; reading 4.24

NO PPM
N/A

RPM 2659
DILUTION:16.26

@Idle
HC PPM
Limit 200; reading 345

CO%
Limit 1; reading 2.91

NO PPM; N/A

RPM 894
DILUTION:15.73

I was just wondering how bad these numbers are.
it went with no tune up.
oil in the engine was still a gold color.
should i change the o2 sensor along with a tune up?,based on these numbers.
or just do a tune up.

it shouldn't matter how bad.... if you failed by more then double the allowable limits of most of the readings he should know his car sucks

OK, let's try to be helpful.... have you ever passed emissions before with this motor? What ECU are you running? Engine temp and intake temp - are those sensors reading okay? MAP sensor reading okay? What fuel pump and what fuel pressure regulator? Fresh spark plugs, and be sure you have a solid spark there to promote full burn.

put in a cat

put in a cat and you will pass... hi flow cats are pieces of crap and make you almost always fail.
The difference will be huge, you will pass for sure

emissions and turbos

But I thought that emissions and turbos are a whole different story. I've seen firsthand a stock turbo ford thunderbird (or couger, I can't remember) pass with a hollow cat.

The emission guy apparently said that turbos are renowned to run really "clean" when tuned properly

Of course the TPS has something to do with it - grab a new one from a junkyard!!! TPS is key to how your car runs!!

Usually if your idle test is bad your cat is fried. You should have had the TPS on from the beginning. You have probably been running too rich which can foul the cat.
