Hello,

I have/had a bad rattle from the heat-shield that sits between the exhaust pipe (between cat and muffler). There front bolt is totally rusted off and a good chunk of the shield is falling apart.

I called the local midais (no flames, the muffler is under warrenty and they said they would just remove it completely, instead of replacing it. Is there any point in replacing it or would i be better off calling Honda directly for a quote? the exhaust system is stock (1.5" i guess). Thanks,

thats what i figured.. i actually had to clut part of the plate with tin snips cause the bolt head was too rusted to grip with a 10mm wrench.. oh well. no more vibration!

 

same thing happened to me^^, i just pulled very hard.
