Exhaust piping
#3
Speedy does stainless steel piping but obviously.. they cost a bit more than some corner store. heh.
Meineke or something like that also does it too and costs a bit less. There's one in Etobicoke @ Hwy 27 & Albion. But those people scare me a bit.

Just go through the Yellow Pages and call up a bunch of different muffler shops for a quote. No matter where you go, the quality will be the same. Just ask them for the price of a custom mandrel bent cat back, and ask them to enlarge it by about 1/4 of the size.

How much would it cost to make your civic dual exhaust?
Do you think it would degrade performance or increase performance? (remember.. making your exhaust too big ruins performance due to the resonating chamber is no longer present (or is too "present") and therefore the exhaust frequency is not precise.

DUal mufflers would be wicked.
I would love to have mufflers like the Lexus IS300 or the Civic SiR (2002 model)... they are silent at the low RPMs (which is great) but when you punch it.. they make this real good sporty sound.
When I say sporty sound.. it sounds like a purr.. but a loud one.
However... if I had mufflers like huge ones that are like 4" diameter.. that would be pure crust... they make this HUGE amount of sound and make it sound liek a lawnmower... In my opinion.. super loud mufflers that make your car sound like a fast lawnmower are (I don't know anyway to put this nicely lol ) dumb.

Theres alot more to exhaust other than the size of the piping that affect sound.
From the engine we know there are headers
The headers the connected to the Cat back,
the Cat back is connected to the resonator,
the resonator is connected to the muffler,
<feel free to sing along>
So theres a who myriad of factors affecting sound.
Muffler has probably the biggest job in affecting sound.
