F22B1 Swap??

Anyone ever swapped an F22B1 into an EG or EF? Does it sound like a decent idea? I have on sitting in an Accord here and the Accord is pretty quick with 145 HP and a wieght of 1300KG, I think in a 1000 KG EG it'd be even quicker.

There's probably not many performance parts around for this engine but all I'm really looking for is a cheap toy that I can experiment with.

That would be a very difficult install. Mounts would be a problem as well as all the rewiring. Plus hoses lining up. I advise against it if you are looking for a cheap install. The engine may be cheap but all the extra work to make it fit would add up.

Thank you for the warning about the diffucult install, I firgured the mounts would give me a few days work but I think the wiring should be fairly easy as I'll just be using the engine harness from the Accord and wire the lights and guages myself. The only hoses I'll really need are the Radiator hoses as I'll have no Heater Core, Power Steering or A/C.

I remember reading about a few people who do h22/f22 hybrids. Sounded interesting so might be something you might want to look into if you are interested.

i believe you can just use the h series mounts, because dropping a h into an accord 90-97 is basically bolt on so i dont see why the mounts that are used for a h in a civic cant be used.
double check that out/.

H22/F22 Hybird uses the F22 Bottom End and the H22 Head for it's VTEC Right? That sounds kinda interesting for an upgrade once I get the swap done and the kinks worked out.

I'll definatly look into the H22 mounts, I figured I'd be building my own so being able to buy some would be a bonus.

Thanks for the input guys/gals!

H22_teg, do you think your buddy would be interested in letting me look at his install sometime in the spring?

He can e-mail me at andrewcastelein@hotmail.com

Hasport has their H Series Swap stuff listed as the same as their F series stuff, $599 for Mounts and 399 For Axles, Seems to be around the same price as a B Series swap. I'll probably still get to build some of my own stuff, like the Shifter linkage and Radiator mounts....and possibly a Turbo Kit one day
