FS: battery light came on while driving....

Check and clean your terminals first and check ground wire off battery. Hate for you to spend big bucks swapping out battery or alternator to find out you had corrosion
civicnation, I had the exact same problem you are having.....so i replaced my alternator and belt, and it did nothing. The problem did not go away. I took the ground wires off (one on tranny and one on block) and sanded them down, and aslo made sure where they make contact on the frame it was cleaned off aswell.......
fixed the problem right away!!!! SO MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE GROUND WIRES!!!! It took me 5 mins to do
MORAL OF STORY: dont buy an alternator or battery before you try the ground wires

i will sand my block and tranny grounds along wiht contact surfaces to see if that fixes the problem
update as of now, it flashes, just not all the time. sometimes stay on constant for a bit. will try sanding grounds and if that dont work, it's goin to honda for a check up.

well a good way to see if your alternator is pooched is to turn everything on then rev your engine and see if the lights get brighter. but like it was said earlier, if the altenator is on its way out, it still slightly charges before it completely dies. have it tested cause if you change it now you might be able to salvage your battery and get another year or two out of it. testing the altenator is fu(k all for a mechanic. I couldn't see it being anything else. IMO i would change both the altenator and battery.
