Helllpppppp
The head of the flange bolt conecting the upper arm to the trailing arm broke off. Question is, what the hell do i do next?
BTW, i'm talking about the rear suspension components.
Advice as to what to do next?
Anyone encounter this problem and wish to share?
Anyone know what to fix this problem?
I already purchased a new flange bolt front honda, just a matter of getting this one out!

You have to cut or grind off the nut that is welded to the upper arm then bend out the arm and remove the arm assembly from the car, then you have to remove the old bushing from the arm, replace the bushing that you just removed, replace the bolt and get a nut because you wont be able to buy that particular nut because its part of the arm. truly a pain in the ***. Use anti sieze when you reinstall all of the susp hardware

i'm thinking of just drilling it out and using a nut at the end since there will be no tread for the bolt to hold on to.
the biggest b*itch about it is that i have the front springs already done and ready to go and now fuguring the rears would be easier, i'm fuked.
and i'm definitely putting anti-seize on it when i get all this **** fixed up.
is there a technique to drill the fuking bolt out? Certain type of bit, etc?

more work, but it helped me to learn more about my car.
as for the broken bolt, i'm getting it torched out by my cuzn.
Good learning experience even if i had to learn it the hard way. It's just taking longer, cost is still 0 (actually 7$ -new flange bolt from honda). Front springs are installed and ready. Just waiting for rears.
ADVICE FOR SOMEONE TRYING TO DO THIS THEMSELFS:
PAY SOME MONEY TO SOMEONE WITH AIR TOOLS TO GET ALL
THE BOLTS LOOSENED!!! THEN IT'S CLEAR SAILING FROM
THERE
although i encountered tyhis problem, i would recommend this project if ppl are somewhat mechanically inclined. But this recommendation is suject to my aboce advice, lol.

and punkindrublic, how did u manage to get the bolt out from ur experiences?

imy car has been good to me... not one bad suspension bolt... and i use all hand tools too which makes it even weirder... but either get new suspension pieces from a wrecker or drilling is about all you can do... those bolt remover things aren't mean to remove seized bolts, expesially suspension bolts cause they require so much torque to loosen

alright, i'm gonna take it and get the bolt torched, i know i'm gonna have to get a nut to put at the end now, but should be good as new. At most i might need a new bushing. How much will that run if if anyone knows?

the one on teh bottom of the shock assembly and the one that is used to connect the upper arm to the trailing arm (the one i broke)

if you got the bolt out of the LCA that attaches to the shock, and you coulnd't get the bolt that connect to the LCA and the trailing arm, you should have dropped the end that connects to the sub frame on the other end there usually not seized at all
