Unhappy Help!!! stripped brake bleeder screw!

anyways.... I was trying to bleed my brakes, but one of the bleeder screws was very hard to loosen...so I kept continuing to try to loosen it....and before long, the bleeder screw was completely stripped..
anyone know what, or where I can go to get the bleeder screw off??? I've tried using a vise grip wrench but it only made things worse.....thanx in advance!

Most likely u will need a whole caliper. Sorry to hear. Did u lubricate it well with wd-40? Most of the time they are so rusted out and u just got to use a torch to loosen it.

Torch and vise grips would be my answer... if you used vise grips and it still slipped you probably didn't have them tight enough!

I had the vise grip on very tight!, but still no luck... I might try heating the caliper up I guess?!? , do any of you know if the damaged screw out remover things work?? , I've also heard that some people weld on a piece to the bleeder screw and remove it that way, anyone try that??

Take off the caliper and drill it out, happened to my brother, spent the whole night doing it.Hopefully you have a drill press handy, cause doing it by hand is gonna be alot longer.

Be acreful with heat, heated brake fluid can blow the brake flex line off and spray you with hot brake fluid.

Just be careful you don't drill too far in and damage the tapered seat at the botom of the hole, otherwise the bleeder screw may not seal again.

same thing happened on my rear drums

tried the mastercraft reverse screw extracted, that didn't help, ended up just replacing the whole brake cylinder

caliper or wheel cylender??... big diff.. new caliper = drilling out or 100 bux for a new one... wheel cylender = 20$ for a new one, not worth drilling out...

take the caliper off teh car.. soak the bleeder in wd-40 take vice grips put them on TIGHT then step on teh caliper and try to loosen...

if that dont' work then try tightending a LITTLE bit and then loosening... might take a few trys.....

then if not then you can try to epoxy the vicegrips to the bleeder (use hammer to bust it off later) try to incorporate the above

then if that dont work you can dremel a the scew's sides to be square again.... and of course incorporate the above 2 if need be

and if you are still stuck PM me
