the different stages they have just allow different features if many people on this board have the lower stages then I'd suggest the 4b stage so that you can program all the lower stages too but it is money... thats what stage I'm getting when it's time

Need a writer to program the isht... diff't stages - fo sho... changed from 2, 2b, etc... to something like S200 etc. If boost, need boost option... why don't you just visit their site man...
If you need a programmer, I know a guy who'll do it for a small fee, but he's in Michigan.

2 means you can get it programmed and updated by someone else .... no b means no boost with that ecu (won't do it) and the 4b system is great go to the website and have a look at the features of each system....

no idea on the price (look at the website or call up afilitates and ask a quote) and yes you'd have to get it programmed for your engine and tuning and stuff and changes you want to make to the program you'll hvae to get someone else to do ... if you get the 4b model you can program yourown and anyone elses that comes along....

You also need an OBD I ECU that Hondata supports (if you don't already have it) and an OBD I to OBD II conversion cable if you have an OBD II car.
Hondata is a good option if you're looking for an easy system that someone else tunes for you. If you want to tune it yourself, the programming and chip burning tools are really expensive.
It would be better to go with an AEM EMS if you plan on tuning yourself. Now that AEM has worked out a few of the bugs.
