your best bet is to do some reading about what certain parts do. understand how the engine works and understand how these parts are going to affect the performance.

about the question... why did I do all that and then buy a b series. simple, I was just like maca... tryin to get sum performance outta my stock engine with cheap bolt ons... IE RACTIVE **** lol

I now know to get the good parts instead of wasting money on the cheap ****... gotta start doin it rite the first time!

yeah i dont wanna waste my money, thats why i thought i'd ask the pros here about it, since i could learn from your mistakes instead of learning from my own. i probably alrready wasted my money by buying a d-series, and my car wasnt cert so i spend about 3 grand trying to get it on the road again, even though it looked fine when i bought it. for an intake i was looking at buying either AEM or Injen, are those good brands? and i dont know good brands of headers or hi flow cats, or whatever. this is my first car

im gonna lose it with you people who come on here and tell everyone that honda-tech is where you go for performance answers. thats not the case, we have turbo and na pro's here too and when you ask an intelligent question you will get an intelligent answer. if you like honda-tech so much go and be on their board. sheeez.

I go to both... but honestly coming here, to me is better since I get better responses, and overall I trust this board a hell of a lot more. H-Tech has so many members that the chances of those "experts" giving you advice on that forum are slim

Anyway I would say you should just shave weight off your car... its free.. and heck if you don't like it put the shyt back in the car haha. EIther that or just get some things that you can still keep if you ever were to do a swap.

honda-tech has a lot of misinformation from what i've seen.
And a lot of arrogant yanks who think they're god.
But there are a bunch of intelligent experienced people, but the amount of 15-19 year old kids who don't have a clue greatly out number the people i would listen to.
From my experiences DC isn't a good header, i had a ceramic one rust out on my in 8-10 months. The primaries were too small and the collector was tiny.
If you want more power and don't wanna spend a butt load then i would squeeze. Just a simple dry setup. I like the ZEX kit. Plus, if you do decide to go B-series you can still use the n20 on the new engine....unlike a header or intake manifold....an exhaust you can re-use and even the intake can be re-used on a b-series.

well the stuff wasnt for engine parts, i had to spend 600 for headgasket, 800 for new shock/struts and lowering springs, because the springs were cut and broken, then i had to buy new tires and exhaust because the exhaust was broken and tires were bald, and 500 dollars in labor. So it wanst like i could buy a new engine kinda thing.

wow...should have checked the car out better before buying. Even if you pay a mechanic $50 to check it out, it could've saved you $3000 in the long run.

how much klicks u have on the engine....if you have high klicks its not worth putting anything on it...its better if you fix your engine to run smooth and reliable instead of trying to get more hp...if you do put headers etc on your car....be careful on your engine coz you might break something, and you gonna have to push the engine to the limit until you hit the gain(high end or low end if you get any)...but if you really want to get something out of a d series....my opinion get stage 1 clutch and your work on the air flow...(high flow catalytic and good headers) you should have some gain on that
