i guess i can call it a mitsubishi eclipse since it looks like one. kinda like most civic owners say their car is jdm when all they have is an engine swap, you say reliability???, well if you put any engine under boost your gonna have stuff break, i'm running 12lbs and everything seems fine. but i'm not afraid to work on my car, what do you expect? you wanna go fast your gonna have to wrench on your car. or you could just stick with a 1.5 sohc 92 hp and putt around. in the near future i wanna build a fast honda but right now i like being able to rape gsr's, h22 ludes, b16's with my cheap car.
was a civic owner-

idiot---> bbarbulo ...."They have 4 cyl models, and 6 cyl... so hp varies... the car is *like* a Mitsubishi, but more Chrysler than anything else. But even a Mitsubishi car is ****... they make better TVs than they do cars, and they don't make good TVs at all "
Try beating a civic hatch 5th gen with a B16a.... trust me DSM's are fast but one with free mods won't beat my car. And btw Bruno's car should be turbo when he's done with it as well.... so good luck laser boy. My talon would have eatin your laser btw

your talon ehhh who said i just had free mods? i just finished putting my engine back together so we'll see , 5th gen with what b16a? 1st gen 2nd gen, jdm???

i know of one car in town with the 1st gen b16a ina crx, supposibly ran 16.2 i guess he could blame it on the 300 lb stereo....
and i know of someone who sold their b16a2? from a 97 del sol 170hp right. well the car ran 14.6 with mods , CAI, exhaust the usually stuff and gutted interior in a 5th gen civic hatch pretty quick i guess. i didn't post to put down any type of car, just backing up the mitsubishi name, c'mon now turbo this turbo that, most of you are using mitsubishi turbos!

Mitsu,s are not bad but i find once they get some milage on them they ride rough and get noisey on the road.I have a 95 doge colt(mirage) with over 480 000KLms on it,original rear brakes/exhaust/clutch,the only repairs have been maintanace.brakes t/belt ect.As far as talons go you better make sure that t/belts changed, theres even a recall on them.

The dealer sold $10,000 in repaiers to an old lady.......say it ain't so?
I wonder how many of those repairs were REALLY needed, and how many were done, because the dealer made the old woman scared?

Dealer......"excuse me Mrs. X, but after getting your car serviced, we noticed the cat converter has a loose heat sheild.....you should get that replaced".

Old lady........"really, ok, replace it".

dealer....... haha, what a sucker......all we had to do to fix it would be to just remoive the heatsheild.......hehehehe

Lke i said.....I wonder how many of those repairs were ACTUALY needed to begin with?

Dealers are crooks to the old and unejumucated.

I already said it has a JDM B16, how original? HAHA

How original is it to mod a DSM? I think swapping out a motor and putting another heart in is original....

i dont need to swap a different motor in....i have the motor that was meant for my car and if it can handle 350 hp on the stock bottom end then it's ok with me,
btw the b16 swap is a one day project giving you have all the parts ...... hybrid? i think not.........i would consider an h22 in your car a hybrid, but not the b16.

note: when i said 350 hp, i did not mean my car has 350hp but i see a 350hp dsm daily that runs fine on the stock bottom end.
i bet your one of those guys that roll on 18's...

I'm in university, will be doing a 2nd degree (engineering) very soon, and I need to have money saved. And I got 300km's per tank which costed approx $45 to fill with 94. Considering I was filling the tank every 2 days, it was a BIG waste of money to drive the car.

So I sold it and I get almost 500km's with this car, only costing me $25 to fill with 94.
