for me, unless you go big for mods, where you change the parameters for the whole car.... then you should leave it stock. My car has been stock engine right down to OEM filters everywhere till now. just now, I'm doing turbo all the way... and I'm going outside the design parameters of the car.
remember how trhe SiR was tuned with a margin for gas quality as well as emmissions... they were meant to have a large safety to prevents warranty claims as well..

even with all of the work i have done to my b16 i still get good gas mileage, as long as i stay under 5000 rpms that is.

Oh yes, and i forgot to post this with my video....
I do not encourage this type of drving on public roads.

I know, the air freshener must be new......

Seriously though, is it the USDM gauge cluster?

close trackhack. Its actually a USDM 95 civic EX coupe.....so its in MPH.
Its a stock block b16 w/a fully built head. P&P, valve job, milled .030", stg 2 cams, dual valve springs, ti retainers, ferria valve locks, adj cam gears, ARP head studs, SRI, 64mm throttle body, AEBS intake manifold, imitation Hondata IM gasket, DC 4-1, which was just changed to vibrant j-spec 4-2-1 w/high flow 2.5" cat to 2.5" SS pipe w/magnaflow muffler, all tuned with a vafc2.
I was surprised at how well the intake manifold gasket works, after rippin for a while i got out and touched the IM and it was barely warm.
Just goes to show a b16 w/a little bit of work can be a potent little engine. Now imagine this setup in a crx.

well before the AEBS intake manifold, manifold gasket, 64mm t/b, vibrant j-spec 4-2-1 w/2.5" collector, 2.5" high flow cat, 2.5" SS exhaust i made 161whp and 113tq. That was tuned with cam gears and a vafc2. I am going back for some tuning w/Uberdata in another week or so and hopefully, cross your fingers, will be near 180whp. The AEBS IM, gasket, and t/b made a huge difference, especially 7000rpms and up. I just got my car back from the exhaust shop about an hour ago (gettin the high flow cat and 2.5" pipe done, and i just put the new header on) and it feels even better up top...not to mention has a nice little rumble down low too....well for a 1.6L.
Thanks for all of the positive feed back and i can't wait to come back out to the hamilton meets...whenever they start back up....and possibly out to a KC meet.

you will see a performance gain if you put a fan into the cold air intake... really bad for your engine.. but it's like a ghetto turbo.
