if I were you jeaus fish, I would get a TCC mebership, walts down to parkway honda and get the new controll arms with bushings installed already...just for the sake of saveing the bushing install hastles... theres no way he quoted you the right price for those rears...

if ur not using new shocks, just putting new springs in, just remove the the other 2 bolts and drop it all out, lca and the shock/spring.

I wish it was that easy, for some reason one of the nuts was spot welded to the shock (Not too many happy words for that) And the bushings really need to be replaced.

And as far as getting quoted wrong, they gave me a sheet:

Item Ref Description Price QTY
1 8 LWR ARM COMP, R R 289.27 2
2 29 BOLT, LOWER ARM TO 9.18 4
3 15 BOLT, DAMPER LOWER 7.73 2

This was from Hamburg Honda (Niagara Falls), and the kicker was the "service lady" gave me a picture of a shock and said this was what I needed!

just for clarification, the 19mm nut on the back of the shock comes spot welded from the factory, it is not meant to be removed, the bolt only goes through the bushing and into that nut.

ok so what you do is saw off the welded nut and punch out the bolt...it will come out with ssome force, and maybe abit of heat...

IF you plan on replaceing the bushing then just torch out the whole bushing with the bolt in it... then use a new bolt and find a new nut to put on it...or just upgrade to new shocks

theres many write ups on this, it happens all the time. do a search

I have yet to have this happen, I have tried with a sledge and torched the bolt but it never budges out of the bushing, its because the bolts I usually work on are cold welded by the time I get to them... but hey maybe if the bolts are freshly seized it would work.
