Question Mendrel Bends?

what the heck are they?

I picked up a piece-o-crap 'gspec' muffler and I want to slap it on my car.. however I also want to replace the stock exhaust pipe with a larger one, like 2" diam or something so I can get better airflow.

has anyone done a similar setup (aftermarket muffler + custom piping)?? anything I should know before I go ahead and do this?

lates!

Mendrel bends are bends that maintain a constant diameter. Unlike regular bends the diameter in the bend is less than the straight sections...causing restriction in the gas flow.
