me too!! any good d series headers around?
anyone know where i can get a complete type R exhaust? or can i just do a 2.25 piping with a type R muffler(a really quiet muffler_ any suggestions...

 

I just got Chikara headers, magnaflow hi flow cat, and an Apex'i World Sport 2 cat back (quiet...just a bit louder than stock. you can't really hear it on the highway and my intake makes twice as much noise when i step on it). I noticed a bit of a difference, but it really isn't that much. The only reason I bought all that was because my stock exhaust manifold cracked and it cost me about the same amount for everything as it would for an E.M from honda.

 

In all honesty, his best move would be a D16Y8 tranny 5 speed. That would provide the greatest fun/dollar benefit. Besides that, I would have to say a spray of nitrous would be in order, though that would sacrifice both his engine and tranny longevity. Sans the nitrous... he may get a kick out of the sound of a short ram and header combo.

 

thats about 2grand worth of spending with minimal gain, its better i do nothing and spend the money on making his car look nicer...front lip, rear lip, some springs and rims...

I don't think his uncle would want his car to look like rice. That and plus then he would be just waiting for something bad to happen.
