n00b tranny fluid question

How important is it to get manual transmission fluid changed? I think I may have a small leak and I'm afraid to flush the tranny in case in increases the problem - any input on this?

Manual tranny = Manual transmission fluid (temp. u can use 5w30 but no reason not to use MTF)

Why don't you try fixing the leak? It might be one of the axle seals which are only $5 in parts and very easy to change.

You're afraid to flush it? Okay so leave the old fluid in there and have fun replacing the transmission
