pls help hooking up a/f gauge

pls help hooking up a/f gauge

i need help i drive a 97 civic cx where does the purple wire go to (pls tell me location and colour i have to splice into thank you very much) ps its an auto meter gauge

From: not at the pump...
one wire on the gauge goes to ground, power for the lights,
the other purple you say, will goto your o2 sensor, look in the manual, and try to find what plug the o2 sensor, enters the ecu, and then splice it into there...

absolutely correct red90dx...

one thing I did with my tach and will do with my air fuel sensor is the power for the light will be connected to the dimmer switch so that the light dims with that switch.... helps when I don't want that light flooding into the cabin of the car.

power for the lights???????? i only have 3 wires i have one going to the ecu one to ground and one to ignition?????????

so there is no ignition power to the gauge thats what your sayin

my gauge yes...

but it is an analog gauge not a air fuel gauge that has the LEDS in it ... in which case yes your right as to where to connect it
