ZC's are a stink bucket waste of money if you ask me, no offence to you ZC fans. I just talked to my buddy, he has a B16A with B heads on it for sale for like 1500.. I think I will go with that then port and polish. Now I have seen T3 turbo's for the B series and they arn't to cheep. My friend says that you can mate a '94 Eclipse turbo to a B series, now is this true, if so would it be more cost efective to do that or just go out and buy a T3?

Well.. 1500 for a B16A with B heads.. only 60k on motor.. ECU, half shafts, motor mounts.. pretty much everything to drop it in.. I'd say I'm gettin a deal. Only thing I need to do after is a limited slip tranny upgrade and an MSD ignition

sorry for being stupid

I'm not doing the work.. My old shop teacher is.. He's been a mechanic for over 20 years.. He's been doing this kind of thing to everything from GP bikes to cars for a while.. And I know the whole idea isn't the monsterize and canableize the ports.. The idea is the clean them up better, allow better air flow, open them up a tiny bit to allow more air flow.. I know enough about thejob to do it but I don't have the skill yet to do it.. nor am I willing to take the chance with my motor..

^^^^ honestley man, it is not worth it at all!!!!!! that motor is slow and will still be even if you do get that freeish P&P, and all the typical bolt- ons (h/e/i)

Dont spend a penny on the motor (it is 17 years old = not worth investing in), just save up for a B-series, and then you will feel a real difference in HP

oops i just did...
tyler, you're too cool to be ban... no worries... hahaha....

bone stock: well... any motors can be built to an asssskicker... depends on how much you willing to put in, how much you know, and how good you can do it...... i don't like the ZC, but then i like the idea of turbo on a non-vtec dohc motor..... and if you really built a dohc zc.... it will just be as good as the b-series...

b16 with a b head... maybe he is hinting the BOTTOM is not a B?? hahhaa.... i wonder what can it be if its not a B... D? H? K? haha

with a paragraph like this, what is the point of keeping this thread open?

it is seriously going nowhere, its alot of unrearched n00b talk, going from a P&P 88 si motor to a P&P b16a with B heads and a mated 94 talon turbo...lol....come on!!!

i dunno i cant hate on zc's and either can you roach(invader_hb) cause you have one... you know if it was built up to shlt by lets say umm b16civic and then you boosted it i think it would be pretty fun to rip down the track dont you?? lol

anyway my last comment is honestly bone dont waste your time with that just save your money.... then do some research and choose a motor you think suits you best... then stack some more money and decide what your going todo with it like either booost it or build it first or buy some bolt ons... who knows man its your car so do what you want with it...

Yeah it started as a P&P on an '88 but since people say it is a waste of time and money I will do the B16 with an ECLIPSE turbo.,.

Save your money - find a sohc vtec head and do a mini-me conversion. Use the balance of the funds you were going to waste and put it into your suspension and brakes.
