it's not the motor you gotta worry about... it's finding a good power rack to bolt to your CRX...

And getting a good one is rather pricey and it is a real pita to install.

Peace..

is it possible to bolt the parts from a civic onto the crx, like power rack, pump, etc, or were there actually crx's with power steering?

I got a power steering rack out of my 91 civic, good working order, you'd need the lines though...

Power Steering was not an option on Canadian CRX's (well North American ones for that matter)
It was only EDM and JDM cars that had it.
Why would ya want PS in a CRX though? The car is so damn light, you don't need it.
If it was something like a Pilot then yes ya would need it.
Not worth the hassle, effort or money IMO.

True, the car is light enough that you could easily turn the wheels while running 60's. The car doesn't really need it. I used to drive a BMW E21 320i. No power steering, and one hell of alot more weight. with 205/50/15's it required a lot of effort at slow speed - parking - but I loved the way the car felt at speed.

Peace..

only reason is cuz its my gf's car, and she's never driven a car without power steering, so I dunno if she can handle it, she will probably hate it for parking.

Then keep stock size tires on the car then. It's not too bad then. My wife had no problem with the 320i..

I will admit it sometimes does take a good crank to park but its usually not a big deal.
The car is so small that you're always in the spot.
Besides tell her it helps work muscle tone. Good workout!
Hee hee!
