distributing the brake pressure to all 4 discs (i think)

 

dunno, I did the entire swap at the same time - rear disks, front disks, master cylinder, booster, prop valve - only thing still LX is the brake lines which is the same size anyways.

as for what place I ordered from, I really can't find out, it was some wrecker from that link I gave you earlier... car-part.com I paid with my credit card, and that was.... early in the year, like maybe March. I can't be expected to remember things like that

that guy from clubsi confuses me....i thought the pv with ABS has 2 inlets and 6 outlets. on the other hand, the pv without ABS has 2 inlets and 4 outlets.

 

no... non ABS has 2 in and 4 out, a total of 6 lines.

the ABS car has 2 in and 2 out - Front and Rear, and then that goes to the ABS controller, which distributes it to each wheel - so a total of 4 lines on the ABS prop valve.

 

damn, I think the proportioning valve is the same **** for my stock one.

anyways, from http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com , the USDM civic Si (SiR in Canada) uses the same prop. valve as other civics do.

 

4040 is the number cast into the prop valve to indicate rear disks

 

does it say on the prop valve??

 

 

can we install it by ourself?

 

yeah as long as you have line wrenches... get a set from sears of canadian tire
