approx how much do you think the spring rate will increase per coil i remove?

also the rear spring is the taller one right?

I was just thinking maybe i should install both EK front and rear springs in the car and cut them so the car sits where i want it to and then i could sell the aftermarket springs and get some money for the B18A1 project

If your car has koni reds I believe it will have the metal(silver) spring perch which is removable

Take the shock out remove the perch and you can see a clip which the spring perch sits on. That clip sits in a machined groove. If you take the shock to a machine shop they can stick the shock in a lathe and cut you a lower groove should cost like $40 and take 15min.

during the summer i cut my oem springs because im really cheap, i cut two coils of each spring. People said my car would ride like **** but it was actually pretty decent, it was only a little more bumpy'er then stock and and alot smother then my buddys integra with lowering springs. Now if your serious and go to the track its a little differnt then u need the good stuff.
and its a civic, not a s2000

Why not save your coin, save your time and trouble of all that work that you could screw up and end up with a **** job and a bouncy ride and get a good coil over kit.. then you've got the look plus the braggin rights.. It's one thing to say you cut the springs and threw a coffee can on the back.. It's another thing to say you went out and got a set of full adjustable Eibach's with a 1.5" drop and a coffee can on the back.. :P just my opinion though..
