SIR/GSR strut bar install.

i'd be scared too there, there.... there, there
It's easy, just put the bar up on the towers so it sits flush... there should be little dimples of where it's supposed to go. Take a punch, and set it in the middle where the bolt is supposed to be, and WHACK - one good hit with the hammer. Do this for all the bolts, each time checking that the bar has not moved, then remove the bar. Then drill pilot holes, and re-check the bar position again to make sure everything lines up. Then get a drill bit a hair bigger than the bolts, and drill out the rest of the metal. Now, mount your bar and to prevent rusting, just put a dab of silicone into the hole when putting the bolts in. Excess will get squeezed out, and the rest will seal the bolt head from letting water and salt into the cavity.

Ok then, you know where those flat areas are just to the outside of your shock tower bolts... (the two 14MM nuts)... it goes on there. Set in on there, and use a precision ruler to measure so that you have equal gaps all around and both sides are perfect mirror images. Then punch it and drill. Just some precision and patience.

loudsubz, I was gonna ask... you know how the bar is slightly offset in it's bracket... I assume for intake plenum clearence... so the bar sits closer to the firewall or the engine?? I was looking at mine, and I think it could bolt on either way, but what is the correct way?
