smallest turbo out there???

hello everyone...

currently I'm looking for the smallest turbo out there....

noit the best for D series turbo.. but the smallest turbo that can be easily picked out of a junk yard.. this is for an experiment I plan with some Smokey technology that never got out into the main stream......

note I expect that some welding and loting will be required to get this right I don't expect it to be a bolt up affair so smallest one out there....

*** 1.8T Golf turbo... that's one tiny *****. I'm not sure if it's smaller, but it's pretty damn small as well, the T25. If you wanna get stupid small, like a ******* cracker-jack prize small... you can look for a T18 from a 1.0l three cylinder Pontiac Firefly turbo. There is also a T20, but I'm not certain what cars these fawkers came on.

Whatcha thinkin?

yes but the technology is something I want to play with because it makes sense..... and it uses the excess heat that is produced.... which is a good thing....

hmmm not sure if this will work according to TOO on that www.theoldone.com

I'm thinking a one way reversion prevention valve though to keep the carb cool would allow me to see if the preheating of the mixture works or not.....

yeah .... slow but worth it .. the technology makes sense from a fuel atomization aspect but the independant testing found the turbo did most of the work and not the heating....

although I like the Idea of using a turbo for mixing the fuel up with the air ... the issue is the compressing gas creates heat ... heat and gas vapours could mean big bang....in the intake manifold.....

thats an interesting theory.... i didn't read the whole article but there has to be a downside to this..... or it would be on all our cars now a days.... or maybe the oil companies made that technology disappear....

although at the time of that article 100 hp per liter wasn't something seen in production cars...

if you want some help welding the piping jason let me know.... i'd be interested to see that type of engine with my own eyes....

I would be curious to see that also. There was a guy who had a website - 113mpg.com and was using similar technology. I think he was a bit schizo. He made several references to the gov't trying to stop him, being put in the hospital, web-site being shut down etc. He even managed to offer the device for $500 USD up front. As far as I know no one ever saw it. It was being manufactured in Ukrainia???
