Softer ride: Omni or Yonaka?

I was just wondering if anyone knows which full coilovers offer a softer ride, the Omni from optionjdm or teknotik's yonakas?

I defenetly dont want something too bumpy, but at the same time i want "some" handling.

thanks

10k/8k are the rates from omni power streets, and 12/10k for omni power sports. the streets ride nice, and handle very well.

I have the Yonaka from Teknotik. For a full coilover the price is not bad.

Spring rates are as follows:
Front springs: 12kg / 180mm
Rear springs: 6kg / 200mm

I have the Omni's and they're great. I would never go back to a spring/shock combo now that I have adjustable coilovers.

The only thing i have a problem with is that it clunks a lot at slower speeds (say under 40 or 50). I beleive it's the lower collar not being tight enough. When I put them back in this spring i'll take a screw driver and a hammer and really tighten it up. I hope it helps.

yonaka is 12k/6k
omni is 10k/8k (street)

wow... the yonaka has a huge diff between front and rear
just wondering, that huge different in rate will produce what kind of effect?

high front springs rate with low rear springs rates creates understeer. a optimal setup would be to set up the car as neutral as possible and a tad of understeer at the limits.

Do you have the ones with damper or no? If not, how is your ride, do you find it soft or stiff? Do you find it kind of noisy, like you can hear every single bump you hit?

I just got mine installed (still on stock height though) and its a really hard ride, which is not what i wanted.

if you were looking for a more comfortable ride you probably should have gone shock and spring combo.. most people that run a coilover system dont mind the significantly harder ride over the improvement in handling and being able to adjust ride height.

i personally love my omnis and yeah you can feel and hear pretty much every bump!

my friend has koni red/hr sport on his ek and they have a really great ride and handle nice. Good price too.

My Omni's don't have a damper adjustment; I didn't know thye were available with that feature.

I feel most bumps / cracks in the road, but I ride on 17s with 40 series rubber...so I can't expect it to ride soft.

I have the Streets, not the Sports.

You can't put performance suspension onto your car and expect it to ride the same...The Omni's are what, 4 times stiffer in spring rate over stock? What do you expect? Combine that with a lower profile tire and you're going to have a stiff, bumpy ride.

They're fine on the highway, though. I just get a clunking noise like something is loose. I'm pretty sure it's the lower collar stay.
