speed limiter?

About the speed limiter...
That is determined by what tires the vehicle is originally equipped with. So, if the Si came with different tires, than the DX, the limiter would be different....
I don't know the number but if you find out what tires the car was equipped with as OEM, then find the spec on the tires, you can usually figure out the speed limiter point...
About using the speedometer as a gauge on how fast you are going, it isn't accurate, especially at higher speeds, it is possible that it can 'indicate' 190 but you are actually going 170. The logic is, "you shouldn't be going that fast".
Why do they make speedometers go up to 220? That's a good question. I think it's a 'sales thing'. The highest number on a speedometer has no meaning. I remember seeing 70's Corvettes with speedometers that went to 140 kph. I am sure they went faster than that.

well said its true a speedo can be out as much as 10% and is only an indication of speed that is with chrysler vehicles any way. Im sure that goes for other manufacturers aswell. And at those speeds good luck if something goes wrong especially with a car not built for those speeds. And is it worth your liscence or your life
