turbo b series with the right parts and tuning can make 300 whp reliably at around 8-12 psi of boost pressure..depends on turbo.

power matters, not psi.
stock b series have been pushed to 350ish whp..yes STOCK(motors..obviously you need clutch and other turbo stuff to make it all work). but thats pushing it. the piston ringlands are the weakest link in all of our motors(d and b) then rods.

piston and rods in a b series is enough to make 500 whp (on stock sleeves) no prob..again with proper tuning and a big enough turbo(like an sc61) .

there are quite a few guys on h-t pushing the d series quite far running some pretty large *** turbos for a single cam. they can make some nice numbers to but obviously the b series will make more power (given similar set ups..you can a larger turbo on dohc motor aswell) .its just the way it goes.


mod which ever one you like. Id choose a B series just because its the better to start off with.
but that doesnt mean I frown apon D series stuff
