stock air box vs short ram?

i was thinking taking the whole bumper off and cutting that whole thing out then somehow connect that hole at the front to the intake piping

if you can get something to extend to the opening that would be nice, since my filter is not directly in front of the hole, i was thinking of using a peice of something to direct the air to the filter on the inside of the bumper

but when you had this did you have a real "ram air" design?? like that is what i want to do... is have a tube that covers the entire opening of that side vent... and have that going around two bends then into the filter then into the engine.... so you might get 1 or maybe 2 psi of boost on the highway
