The OEM bar you are describing is a black colour round tube right?

So would a 4th gen be able to fit an RSX or GSR strut bar?

Thanks for then inpur bbarbulo, I didn't really trust Ractive to begin with, in that area.

a stock sir/gsr STB won't just bolt to a crx because it doesn't install like most strut bars do. Most strut bars bolt to the actual strut bolts. The oem sir/gsr strut bar attaches to the shock tower bolts that are put there specifically for the strut bar.
Here is a pic:
the red circles with the arrows are the shock tower bolts, the yellow circle is the strut bolt. There is another one on the other side but you can't see it in this pic.

Sorry SilCRX... didn't see your posts. Check to see if your car has these indentation just to the outside of the shock mounting bolts. If so, this is where you drill But pick one up and test fit it. Like mine didn't exactly bolt right in cuz I have a massive air box in the way, but it does fit my chassis.

My 98 didn't but it's got indentations there for where you are supposed to drill.

What about the back?
As in a rear lower bar?
Anyone know of any OEM ones that fit a CRX?
Thanks!

there have been no OEM rear lower tie bars ever on a Honda as far as I know Neuspeed, Cusco... JIC makes good ones. There are others as I'm sure you'll be told... Just beware of pivot points.

I have seen some one with cheap strut bars and it rusted... OEM is better and cheaper to get. If you are a serious racer and live on the track, get the race stuff.

Same thing with my 2000 EL. I have an OEM ITR strut bar (same mounting position as SiR and GSR bars) and we just punched out the covers and bolted it in.
