I think the front sway bar is 22mm but don't quote me on that
I'd disagree with this ... you'd want the rear to be the same size or larger to create a bit of oversteer

as for Pulovr's suggestion.... ride hieght ain't as important as spring rate....

and in regards to spring rate you want stiff int he rear soft in the front

I personally like the idea of 350 front and 450 rear .... given the set that PULOVR showed me sunday (was it then??) although I'm sure he disagree with his heavy front end theory....

but I'm not going to argue becuase if he likes his set up then great ... personally I autocross my car and next year in the super stock class I'll have stiff rears soft fronts because thats what creates oversteer which is nice if you know how to control it.....

gatherer is right.

soft front springs and high rear springs along with a thicker roll bar will enable you to corner alot easier and better.

it all depends on what you want to do with the car...

isn't the neuspeed sway bar 19mm? if so i don't see a need for the Beaks subframe reinforcement kit..anything above that ..yes..consider it a must!

For myself, I'm looking at possibly going with a Progress 22mm sway bar and the Beaks kit. I just need to make sure that I have a rear sway bar currently on the car. Is anyone here running with the Progress adjustable 24mm bar?

BTW..if you DON'T have a OEM rear sway bar, you'll need the LCA's from a 94-01 'Teg (NOT the ITR..ITR LCA = ITR shocks!). Or just go ahead and get some aftermarket LCA's (SRR for eg..)

Here's some good reading for you to understand a bit more:

Whats wrong with ractive? Don't strut bars have one function and therefore they do the job or don't? Most are made of aluminum I think and as long as the bar doesn't flex then its doing its job right? Cause I was gonna get front and back for my EL. Please enlighten me before I blow my money on crap

its all just in the quality they are made.... ractive and such companies make them more for show then performance.... so they may infact flex or bend when the car is actually being pushed....

note. you will never reach this through normal street driving.... so if that is all you do just get the cheap ones

you are absolutely right, bout the rear sway bar and the rear stiffer springs

Having oversteer in a FF car isn't hard to learn I'd imagine, but you would really need to know your car or learn pretty quickly as weather conditions may not persist such experiments. A little bit of oversteer could quickly change into a lot when the limits of the turn are exceeded right? I'd say it's better to be safe first and learn your car, then beef it up if you want

I've heard of a Civic Type R (EK9) in Hong Kong running a 30mm rear sway bar, how's that for beefiness?
