topping out at 180km/hr

Hey guys, need some help.

Got a b16a in a 91 hatch. Car's got plenty of power on the highway up until 180km/hr (top of fourth). When I shift fifth, car doesn't go anywhere. I'm sure it's not mechanical, just got the head totally rebuilt/machined (new valves, seals), type r cams; also replace the bottom end ( blew the old one). Old engine also topped off at 180. I'm thinking it's probably the computer (have it chipped, mugen, not sure which). Any ideas?

pr3 ECU max out at 180km/h. if you ever see the cluster it ends at 180km

you need to get the ecu chipped...

Hey ***#$#@, don't assume i'm a kid and don't assume i'm a speed freak. I recently had a major engine problem and considering that i barely ever push the car i was a bit confused. I pushed the car a little on the highway to see how it was performing and have come to discover that I may have a faulty computer and/or chip. My concern is that this could be leading to other problems. Considering I just dropped in a rebuilt motor, I want to make sure everything is running as it should. I had the computer chipped over a year ago and just discovered this, a testament to my usual driving habits. So before you start making any ignorant assumptions, shut the @#@# up and don't make any useless suggestions.

again...take it to the track. Driving is a privilege, not a right. You think you have the RIGHT to test your "top-end" on public highways! I'll be waiting to see your post in the Traffic tickets, accidents, insurance forum, wondering why you got a ticket for careless driving...

a reputation on TCC!!! Watch out!! That must make you an expert on engine tuning, but then again you had nothing to say on my possible computer problem. Expert driver maybe? I seriously doubt that also. Keep your ignorant babble to yourself, nobody wants to hear it.

you're the idiot asking a dumbass question. I could have asked my 5 year old neice and she could have told you what the problem was. the fact you'd even ask this question is proof enough of how clueless you are. really, you'd do us all a favour if you'd go do some street racing now and put yourself out.
