Turbo ZC setups

anyone here done one, also whats the compression on a ZC. Just looking for some input I was going to turbo a b18b1 but found a ZC with a second complete motor tranny and everything for a cheap price so I was wondering if building the ZC would be worth my time

you can turbo till as much power as you want bro...
any compression from 9-10:1 is good but 10:1 will be hella more difficult to tune than 9:1

i had just never given any thought to the ZC until i found this offer, what psi are people running on stock internals? What turbo manifold or is it a custom part, down pipe, turbo i was thinking a t3 off a saab or mitsu, fuel system just basically if anyone here has done one what have you done to get it where it is

i would go with the zc turbo. i have has mine for over a year and love it, right now im running 10 psi on a built engine, on a stock setup i would stay under 10psi as the stock rods are only good to about 200 hp<img src="http://www.hostedimage.com/is.php?i=8686&img=turbo20002.jpg" border="0" alt="http://hostedimage.com | Hosted Image">

dyno,ed last summer at 189.9hp and 179 torque to the wheels at 9psi, will be getting the car to the dyno again soon to get some fine tuning done,im using a Zdyne standalone and should get easily over 200 with some more tuning, if anyone need a zdyne tune i have it posted on the zdyne exchange site. alot of people put the zc down but it a great little motor and loves boost !

My suggestion is whatever you do as far as boosted hoindas are concerned, get a hondata or equivilant with boost option and some bigger injectors at the least. their are people with hondatas out there selling them for cheap. have a tuner program the hondata. when you have that you can tune your fuel and ignition maps perfectly with your turbo setup, Properly tuned turbo setups will enable you to run higher boost safely. Don't get me wrong you can't run that high, but at least its the best chance your motor stock internals have to survive constant boost.

I'm currently doing some research on building my TurboZC... go to www.turbod16.com and u'll get a lot of info from them that or www.thezcr.com

u can use hondata and or other fuel management systems or do the V-AFC hack w/ larger injectors.

the ZC can take a good amount of boost on stock internals. I plan on only running about 7-8psi as a daily driver. should be great
gl to ya

I plan on building the engine for boost so I can run it 6 7 psi daily and then when i take it to the track i can take it up around 10 11 and not have to worry about hurting it with a couple passes, with the hondata what program do the tuners use as i have a brand new laptop that i wouldnt mind hooking up for tuning at the track

depend on how good you are a tuner, if you have no tuning experience with stand alone systems then get some one else to do it, i can refer you to a well known tuner. he sells hondatas and tunes them on the dyno, he takes time to do it, its on a dyno and its not just full throttle power runs, its partial throttle half , etc, he tunes your computer for all driving conditions
he can set it up so that all you have to do is crank the boost when your at the track. the ecu will immediatly reconize the 10 pound boost and adjust the fuel and ignition curve accordingly.

those hp numbers are alright...
you should be able to take the zc to 220 hp though berfore building if you tune properly

my b16 is going to get a sense of boost this summer
we'll take it to the track and get some times before and after
