Type R Engine

Where can I get a b18c5 or a b18c-r.

Has anyone ever dealt with lucky star, they are asking for $6000 for a b18c-r and $7000 installed, comes with engine, tranny, and ecu, and wiring no axles.
What about altech do they sell just engines. I can get it installed for free off a buddy.

What’s a good reasonable price for a b18c-r.

Thanks

$6000-7000 is normal... you'd be better to get a b18c1 and spend the extra cash on mods... you'll get more from that

If that price is for a 98-spec B18CR, then go for it. IMO, the extra money for the 98-spec is worth it just for the tranny alone.

that sucks... i loaned out my gt1 and never saw it again

but ya jdm type r is 197hp and the usdm type r is 195... just a little less compression and i think slightly less agressive cams... not to sure though... through some ctr cams in the b18c5 and you'll gain a big of power too

I've had GT3 since I bought PS2, and I'm still hooked on it. I can't wait until GT4 comes out later this year.

honestly, I think the difference between the 2hp from some models is the grade of gas that is used?

japan have WAY better fuel than we do here in the us/cnda

this means advanced timing = more power =)

No haven't really raced on complex string, it gets too bouring. My favorite is Appricot Hill & the Monte Carlo. What's everyones favorite car? For kicks I love driving the Civic SI stock.

my favourite car is either the 787b or the mitsu fto race car... i like trail mountain reverse... it was from the very first GT and i always liked it...

to just make races easy then the f1 cars are unbeatable

the complex string is the only hard course really in the game.... my fastest time on that course was i think 4:05 roughly
