Type R pistons into a GSR motor?
Does anyone know if Type R pistons will work in a GSR motor
if they will what kind of performance gains can be expected??
please answer with as much info as you can,
all information is valuable.

I heard that you can get GSR engine with Type R camshaft and piston installed, it can perform very close to the C5 engine, and cost cheaper then C5.
I know bbarb just covered it, but I just had to say it again...

CTR pistons in a GSR motor would yield some crazy *** compression and running on 94 octane would probably require alot of retarding on the timing ITR would be less, and would probably yield numbers near a normal USDM ITR I'm guessing but I wouldn't trust me hahaha.
Have you checked out c-speeds CR calculator? It's good up to a certain extent, but for real experience, ask Steve at LP and or talk to T.O tegs who had a crazy setup a while back Those are probably your best resources IMO.
