I would say H&R sport which I have a set myself and like very much but the teins' are very good as well I heard. The thing is the drops for those springs listed are different. For example, H&R is 1.75/1.5 and Tein is 2.3/2.0 I believe.

Eibach is also a good one to go for, pro kit for a mild drop 1.5/1.2

H&R has a nicer stance in my opinion, my first springs were eibachs, and if i ever switch back to springs i'd go H&R

im pretty sure the Teins are only like 1.8 front and 1.7 in the rear as far as drop. The teins are designed more for performance and stock shocks than having a huge drop. If you want to have a nice drop go with H&R's

height drop tein s tech on civic

great ride because of the less spring rate. performance is better than stock but still got some body roll a little bit. anyway, it runs fine for me since i don't really do any auto-x ing anyway.

no. the back is actually higher. it's probably the pic or the road surface not flat enough.

yep. h&r is a good spring. but i'd suggest you get the shocks as well, since this spring has higher rates for performance and because of that purpose, you'd need better shocks than the stock one.
my friend used h&r sports + stock shocks on his rsx-s, and he tried bring it to the track. i was in the passenger side, the car felt like almost turned over. lots of body roll there. so yea just my 0.2

has anyone noticed the difference in rates between stock and aftermarket for the REARS??

the fronts are pretty close, but the rears' rates get incredibly high. just strange that the % difference is so great.

for example:

99-00 Si (EM1) 201P 99.8P
H&R Sport 330P 280P

for the fronts it's like a 1/3rd stiffer, and the rears are 2x stiffer!

why is that? the same pretty much holds for all springs in this list... ?

another interesting find: look at the glaring difference between koni's rsk kit and tokico's illumina kit. it seems as if the illumina setup would be way more comfortable:

99-00 Si (EM1) 201P 99.8P
Tokico Illumina Kit 250P 123P
Koni RSK Suspension kit 154-205P 270L

that linear 270 in the rear for the koni's looks like a literal pain in the *** too...

springs in the rear get bumped quite high to help with the FF tendancy to understeer. understeer is good for the average joe driver, but when you are good, you want closer to neutral balance, and the way to get that is to get really high rear rates. Note that the Realtime Integra Type R runs ~800 lbs front springs and 1000 lbs rear springs!!!! Yeah, the rear is HIGHER than the front on most FF race cars to help with rotation.

i gather FF = front wheel drive cars?

oh well. consider me your 'average joe' driver, esp. considering wifey drives the car sometimes - and she's already bitching me out for putting neuspeed race springs on the car (hahah)

i like driving my car hard sometimes but in my older years i think i'm leaning more towards ride comfort.

looks like i'm headed for the illumina's!
