prolly 1 of the best investments u can make for the winter, there more reliable (wont get stuck as much) and safer.....pick up a good set and some rims to mount them on and u'll b good to go for a few years since they won't wear out to,to quickly since there only gonna b used in the winter months.

I used Bridgestone Blizzak's last year...and I loved them, however I spent $900 on all four, and I suspect this winter will be the last I get out of them (stupid scraped 401).

Of course it would be worth it. You wouldn't ruin summer tires and you would have better traction in the winter. Also this would prevent from accidents from slidding.

On your 14" rims, Blizzak's will cost you alot less than mine did, I ran 205/50/16 on my stock rims.

I ran.. uhm. TigerPaws. They were good. No problems getting stuck, and I'm 30-40 minutes north of Barrie, we get snow. Lots of snow.

Snow tires were one of the best investments I have ever made to my car. I didn't get stuck once last year, the ABS never came on due to a loss of braking and the wheels rarely spun pulling away froma stop. I bought a set of the Walmart Wintermark snows. Probably not the best tires available, but I only paid $230 tax/install for all 4. If it snowed more then 2 or 3 months I'd invest in a better set, but they're good enough for me.

you dont need to spend $900 on winter tires...I buy Nordic Icetracs from canadian tire for $300 brand new (granted they're 13" but cant be that much more for 15") but anyways, with my car as low as it is I never had a problem...I'd even drive by suv's and trucks that were stuck and laugh.
