Track tires do very well in the rain for the first few thousand km. For tires I'd say Bridgestone S-03's or Toyo T1-S's for street tires. Toyo RA-1s for track tires or street tires. The RA-1's will outperform the others in both the dry AND rain until the full tread depth wears off, then the wet performance will suffer and the dry performance will go through the roof. I ran the RA-1's until the day before the ice came down and they were better in the cold on the street than the other two mentioned above. I got a little over 10000 km on the street with the RA's before losing full tread depth and great wet traction - when they warm up they stick to the road even in the rain. I had yoko track tires for a little while and didn't care for them (the compound got very hard on the street very quickly and became useless). But this is just my two cents.
